Definition

Exception message number that refers to a special feature or exceptional situation in MRP for a lower-level assembly or component, such as a start date in the past.

To determine this exception, the system reads the exception messages in lower-level components and selects the message with the highest priority which the system then displays.

Procedure

To display the component which causes the exception message, as well as any additional components, position the cursor on the planned order and choose Order structure. In the Order Structure screen, choose Open all to display the MRP elements and the lower-level components.
