Documentation
Description
These key figures should give the observer an overview of the age structures of saved information.
Use of the key figure for analysis purposes
Load cycles as well as archiving potential or cleanup potential can be recognized with their help.
Structure and use of detail displays
The detail displays here essentially represent the frequency with which documents appear in an age category.
The back calculation begins in the last stage of the selected sample.
Example:
Selected analysis period (sample size):
from 1 April 1996 to 13 November 1996
Interpretation:
20,000 objects, that are one week old,
30,000 objects, that are two weeks old,
34,000 objects, that are between 15 and 20 weeks old,
98,500 objects, that are more than 6 months old,
calculated accordingly in the past beginning on the 13.11.1996.
Note for optimization
When there are large volumes of historical data which is no longer used very often, this can lead to increased running times for important operating functions such as evaluations or transactions. Data which is no longer used in day-to-day operations should be deleted, because of its negative effects on the installations.
However in order that we still have important information from the historical data available in a summarized version, you can use SAPs Information Warehouse or the Logistics Information System to save the data. Original documents should be conserved exclusively using archiving procedures and the applicable mass memory.
