Documentation
Description
These key figures should enable the observer to gain an overview of the age structures for the saved information.
Use of the key figure for analysis purposes
With your help load cycles as well as archiving or clean-up potential can be recognized.
Structure and use of detail displays
The detail displays available at this point basically represent the frequency that documents appear in an age class.
Retroactive accounting begins at the most recent stage of the selected sample.
Example:
Selected analysis period (scope of sample):
from 1 April 1996 until 13 November 1996
Interpretation:
20,000 objects, which are 1 week old,
30,000 objects, which are two weeks old,
34,000 objects, which are between 15 and 20 weeks old,
98,500 Objekte, which are more than 6 months old,
calculated in the past accordingly beginning on the 13.11.1996.
Notes for optimisation
Large volumes of historical data which is no longer used can very often cause increased running times for important operating functions such as evaluations or transactions. For this reason, data which is no longer used on a daily basis is regularly removed.
In order that important information is still available from the archived data in a shortened version, SAP's Information Warehouses including the Logistics Information System are used as a memory support. If needed, original documents should be maintained exclusively using archiving procedures and the appropriate mass memory mediums.
