Definition
The rule basis is the figure to which the threshold value for exceptions refers.
You can enter threshold values that refer to variances of planned or target values against actual values. You can specify whether you want quantity variances or cost variances. However, if you choose a rule basis that always refers to variances, the system checks whether the threshold value for quantity variances or cost variances is exceeded and sets a traffic light if one of these two conditions is fulfilled. If you change the rule basis for exceptions, you must then perform a data collection run so that the exceptions are updated on the basis of the new figure.
