The leasing type enables you to categorize the various forms of lease contracts. The leasing type also contains the following posting information:

  • transaction type
  • document type
  • sales tax indicator
  • posting key for the leasing liabilities

The above information is required for the posting of the opening entry for leased assets that have to be capitalized.
