Definition

Number of partial lots into which the lot is to be split or number of individual capacitites where the operation is to be processed in parallel.

Dependencies

The number of partial lots influences the lead time of the operation in lead time scheduling as a split operation has a shorter execution time than an operation which has not been split.

However, the setup times for the operation must be carried out several times when the operation is split. This subsequently increases capacity requirements and costs.
