Use
If you use this method of demand determination, the number of bookings received the previous year for this business event type is taken as the basis for determining the demand for new events dates being planned.
The demand for event dates to be planned is determined as follows:
The number of bookings received the previous year is divided by the optimum number of attendees defined for the event type. If the remaining number is less than the minimum capacity of the event type, the result of the division is not changed. If the remaining number is the same or greater than the minimum capacity of the event type, the number of event dates resulting from the division is increased by 1 .
Example
A business event type whose minimum attendee capacity is defined as 5 and optimum attendee capacity defined as 15 had 107 bookings in the previous year. By dividing this number with the optimum capacity, the system determines 7 event dates. This number is not changed since the remaining 2 bookings are less than the minimum capacity of the event type.
If there had been 110 bookings the previous year, the system would have determined a demand of 8 event dates.
