Documentation
Definition
Organizational unit used to combine a group of activity types.
Use
You can combine activity type groups to form other groups, thereby creating an activity type hierarchy.
You use an activity type group to create reports on multiple activity types, or to process multiple activity types in a single transaction.
If you want to execute reports using selection variants, you can enter the name of this selection variant when you call up the report on the selection screen (instead of entering an activity type group).
Supplementary Documentation - LAGRU 0001
Use
In activity type planning, you can plan either an individual activity type or a group of activity types.
You plan activity type groups, when you want quick access to all of the activity types in your cost center within planning.
An advantage you have by planning activity type groups is that the request screen does not need to be filled in for each individual activity type.
Procedure
You can enter eihter a single value, an interval, or a group.
Examples
You can define an activity type group to plan activities in production area. To do so, combine all the activity types occuring in production together in one group. For example:
Activity type group PRODACTIVTY
This group could contain the activity types
- MHR Machine hours
- PHRP1 Production hours for Product 1
- PHRP2 Production hours for Product 2
- REP Repair hours
- ... etc.
