Definition

This indicator specifies that the respective number of repetitions is not, as is usually the case, considered as a maximum permissible number. Instead, the number of repetitions is predefined even if the segment does not contain any data.

These functions are only supported by the SAP-HCM message standard with invariable field lengths. If fields within the segments are not filled, the "empty" segments will only contain the segment identifier at the beginning of the segment (providing the SAP message standard is the prevailing standard). This setting ensures that the total length of fields, as well as the position of individual fields contained in the message, are not liable to any changes.
