Definition

Specification of diagnosis class. There are the following diagnosis classes in the IS-H System:

  • Admission diagnoses
  • Discharge certificate diagnosis/treatment certificate diagnosis
  • Surgery diagnoses
  • Department main diagnoses
  • Hospital main diagnoses

The discharge diagnosis for the inpatient case as well as the treatment certificate diagnosis for the outpatient case is the diagnosis communicated externally (outside of the hospital) when closing the treatment. This diagnosis type is checked when billing and is communicated externally via the invoice or treatment certificate.
