Definition
You can use the overhead key for the calculation of a percentage overhead rate for an individual order or for a material.
Procedure
If you want to use an overhead key for internal orders and cost object IDs to calculate an overhead rate dependent on the given internal order or cost object ID you need to:
- Assign a cost sheet to your order or cost object ID
- Enter overhead rates in the costing sheet that use the "Overhead key" field
- If you want to use an overhead key for product cost collectors, production orders and material cost estimates, to calculate overhead rates dependent on the material, you need to:
- Assign a costing sheet to your order or valuation variant for costing
- Enter overhead rates in this costing sheet that use the overhead key field.
- Assign the overhead key to an overhead group
- enter this overhead group in the material master record of the material to be produced.
