Definition

The number that uniquely identifies the contact person at the customer.

Use

In the customer master record, you can store information about the people with whom you work at the customer's. These contact person records can contain information such as

• Visiting hours
• The kind of buying authority the person has
• Personal details, such as birthdate and hobbies

If you enter more than one contact person for a customer, the system will prompt you during sales order processing to select the appropriate contact person.

Procedure

When you enter details for a new contact person, the system automatically assigns the identifying number. If you want the system to use contact person information during processing, you must create a partner function for each contact person and enter the identifying number.
