Definition
Level of cost apportionment of shipment costs during account assignment
Use
When forwarding the shipment costs to Financial Accounting and Controlling, you can determine the level at which costs are to be forwarded. Independent of the calculation basis, you can apportion costs at a more detailed or combine them at a more general level.
If the cost apportionment level agrees with the calculation basis, the costs are apportioned according to origin, otherwise the apportionment of the shipment costs is usually carried out according to weight of delivery item.
Procedure
You can define the level of cost apportionment in the definition of the item category for shipment costs.
