Definition
An organisational unit for grouping together several cost centers.
Use
You can create any number of cost center groups, independently of the standard hierarchy.
You can group cost center groups into further cost center groups and create a cost center hierarchy.
A cost center group can be used, for example, to produce reports for several cost centers or to process several cost centers at once.
If you want to execute reports or other applications using selection variants, you can enter the name of the variant in place of the cost center group when you call up a report on the selection screen.
Supplementary Documentation - KSGRU 0001
Use
In cost center planning, you can plan either an individual cost center or a group of cost centers.
You plan cost center groups if you want to quickly refer back to all cost centers in your responsibility area for planning purposes.
By planning cost center groups, you have the advantage of not having to fill in the initial screen for each individual cost center.
Procedure
You use either a single value, an interval or a group.

Use
The imputed cost calculation processes the cost centers you specify.
You have the following input options
- a single cost center
- a cost center interval
- a cost center group
Dependencies
Procedure
When you enter a group from a cost center hierarchy, its name must be preceded by 0H.
Examples
For your controlling area you have defined a standard hierarchy called STANDARD, which contains a node called EDP. To calculate the imputed costs for all cost centers in that area, you specify cost center group "0HEDP".
Supplementary Documentation - KSGRU 0003
Use
Enter a cost center group if you
- only want to copy certain cost centers.
(In this case, you should not enter a reference cost center)
- want to incorporate the data from a reference cost center in several other cost centers.
(In this case, you also have to specfiy the reference cost center)
Supplementary Documentation - KSGRU 0004
Use
When defining summarizations, the cost center group determines the uppermost area in the hierarchy to be summarized. This is normally the standard hierarchy of the controlling area.
When running the summarization, the system summarizes all the lower level areas bottom up. You can also summarize partial areas of the cost center group you entered when defining the summarization.
The data is stored on the relevant summarization cost center, which is also known as a representative cost center. You define the representative cost center for an area by entering the cost center in question as a representatice value for the cost center group (via "Extras -> Report information"). However, you must have created the summarization cost center already. If you want to use this cost center purely for summarization purposes, it is recommended that you do not allow planned or actual values to be posted to this cost center.
Warning
If you have already performed one summarization, you can no longer change the cost center you stored during definition. When running the program, however, you can still specify partial areas.

Use
Procedure
You can specify a group of cost centers for which you want to retrieve data.
