Definition
Here you can classify an insurance provider with regard to the insurance provider type. For instance, you can use the insurance provider type if you want to specify whether the insurance provider is a statutory or private insurance provider. You specify the insurance provider types to be used in your institution in a Customizing table.

Use
The charge catalog determination can be carried out dependent on the insurance provider type.
Procedure
Enter a valid insurance provider type in the field or mask the field by entering an asterisk ('*') in the 1st position.
Examples providers which are assigned to the insurance provider type 'AOK'. For this, enter 'AOK' in the Insurance provider type field and enter '*' in the Insurance provider field .
Dependencies
If you enter a value other than an asterisk, the entry is checked against the table of insurance providers. You cannot enter insurance provider and insurance provider type at the same time.

Billing type determination can be carried out in relation to the insurance provider type.
Procedure
Enter a valid insurance provider type in the field or mask the field by entering an asterisk ('*') in the 1st position.
Examples
It is assumed that you want to define a rule for all insurance providers that are assigned to the insurance provider type 'Public'. For this, enter 'Public' in the Insurance provider type field andenter '*' in the Insurance provider field.
Dependencies
If you enter a value other than an asterisk, the entry is checked against the table of insurance providers. You cannot enter insurance provider and insurance provider type simultaneously.

Procedure
Enter a valid insurance provider type in the field or mask the field by entering an asterisk ('*') in the 1. position or leave the field empty.
Examples
It is assumed that you want to define a rule for all insurance providers which are assigned to the insurance provider type 'GKK'. For this, enter 'GKK' in the Insurance provider type field and enter '*' or nothing in the Insurance provider field.
Dependencies
If you enter a value other than an asterisk, the entry is checked against the table of insurance providers. You cannot enter insurance provider and insurance provider type at the same time.
