Definition
This indicator can have one of the following three values:
- ' ' => Resource is not flagged as required
This means that a resource such as stationery, for example, need not be taken into account during planning.
- 'X' => Resource is required
This means that a resource must be taken into account during planning. Each individual resource can be allocated once only. The resource 'room', for example, can only be allocated to one business event at any one time. In the case of human resources (e.g. instructors), an availability check is also required.
- '*' => Resource is required
This means that the resource must be taken into account during planning. Each individual resource may be reserved several times. The resource PC, for example, can be allocated to as many business events as you wish during the same time period. There is no check for persons' availability during the business event timeframe (see below).
The availability check for persons verifies the following factors:
- Is the person already booked on other business events during the business event period.
If so, this person is considered to be unavailable and is not included in the resource list (business events attendance and business event instruction are incompatible).
The following check is carried out only if you use the HR Time Management application and if integration with this is switched on. This is switch PLOGI PLOGI and PLOGI TIME in table T77s0; enter the active plan version in PLOGI PLOGI and the value X in PLOGI TIME.
- In the case of internal persons (object type OTYPE PERNR in table T77S0) the personal shift plan and absence records in the business event timeframe are read from Time Management. Absences due to illness, vacation or time off, which are incompatible with activity as an instructor, are defined in table T77KA. If such an incompatibility exists, the person is considered to be unavailable and is not included in the resource list.
