The cost center description is used for online displays and evaluations that have sufficient space.
If the master record does not contain a cost center description, the cost center name is shown instead, where the field is to be displayed.

Time dependency
You can define this field as time-based in the configuration menu of Cost Center Accounting.
- If you activate this indicator, you can maintain separate data for any number of different time intervals.
- If you do not activate this indicator, you can make only one field entry valid for all intervals. If, however, you change a time-based field, you can enter a new value in the non-time-based field that is valid for the interval of the time-based field.

Time Dependency
Changes to this field apply to all periods, including past periods. If you change the content, the old content is overwritten. The new content then applies to both current and past periods.

Use
Cost Center Description
Procedure
From the list of possible cost centers, select the one that is to bear today's costs for the current employees. You only need to select a cost center if today's costs need to be borne by a cost center other than the one stored in the organization model.
The cost center list contains only the cost centers that are assigned to at least one organizational unit from your current selection.
Dependencies
This cost center assignment is transferred to Time Management, and is available there for the payroll.
