Definition

The car class is an indicator for flat-rate accounting of
transportation costs. It can be used to vary flat rates for
transportation according to company-internal rules regarding
car criteria such as price, horsepower or motor size.

The value is specified in travel privilege infotype P0017 per
personnel number.
It is defaulted during entry of travel data and can, if necessary,
be changed at this phase of processing.
During travel expense accounting, the car class serves as a part
of the key for evaluation table T706F.
