Use
You have chosen a particular field as a hierarchy level to define a hierarchy. If the system finds objects during summarization that have no entry for this field, it generates an additional node with the designation <not_assigned> and indicates the object in this field.
Activities
If you want the system to include objects that have no value for the field defined as the hierarchy level and show them under a separate node, select this indicator.
