Definition

Field that can be used as a level for the definition of a summarization hierarchy.

Use

The fields chosen here are used to select orders for summarization and to sum the values and quantities of the orders. For each value (such as plant 1000), the system calculates a sum and updates it to what is called a summarization object. The values on the individual summarization objects can be analyzed in the information system.

If the available fields are not sufficient to define a summarization hierarchy for your purposes, you can also use an order hierarchy to summarize production orders. The system creates the levels of an order hierarchy using one of the following:

  • The names of the master data fields
  • In order summarization with classification, the characteristics of classification

You define an order hierarchy under Maintain Order Hierarchies.
