Definition
This field specifies which search procedure should be used to find the values.
Use
The default setting is 'linguistic search'. This is used if you do not make an entry. This corresponds to the previous search procedure.
A linguistic search means the system searches to see if the value entered in the cycle definition exists as a string. The value 'AAA' is also found if 'BAAA2' is in the definition.
Option 'E' = Exact Search also exists. This enables you to ensure that valid hits are only found if the value entered corresponds exactly to the definition.
You can change the search procedure for each value entered.
