Definition
The key date for mass simulation is only set in the simulation period if you use a simulation type for which the Check Key Date indicator is set.
If the indicator is set, the system sets the key date automatically when you change the status of the mass simulation run for the simulation period from Create Mass Simulation Indexes to Cancel Mass Simulation Indexes.
The key date is set to the day before this action. For example, if you change the status on January 20th, the key date is set to January 19th
.
Use
The key date for mass simulation separates the period during which it isnot possible to process the simulation indexes from the period during which the simulation indexes are processed.
You can use the key date in the Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) to select the actual data.
Mass simulation also takes the key date into account if the Check Key Date indicator is set in the simulation type.
