Definition
Target fields that already contain a value are not normally overwritten during a derivation step.
However, you can select the appropriate indicator to specify that this target field should always be filled with the result of the derivation step, even if it already contains a value.
Alternatively, you can specify that the target field is only overwritten if a new value is found. By selecting this indicator variant, you prevent existing values from being overwritten by empty fields.
