Definition

Specifies that the system is to calculate fluctuations in requirements and take them into account as an additional buffer. The requirement fluctuations correspond to the standard deviation from the smoothed requirement quantity.

Use

If you set this indicator, the system calculates the quantity or number of kanbans needed due to fluctuations in requirements. You can display the calculated value in the Number of Kanbans Due to Requirement Fluctuations or Quantity Due to Requirement Fluctuations fields in the transaction Check Proposal (PK08N).

Dependencies

The calculation of the requirement fluctuations does not deliver meaningful results if you carry out the smoothing of the requirements with a distribution function.
