Definition

Base figure for a condition involving subsequent (end-of-period) rebate settlement which

  • is determined through the continual updating of the business volume

and is used

  • to calculate the amount of rebate due according to the condition, and
  • to apportion the rebate income among the plants and tax codes, as well as among the periods (where applicable)

If a business volume comparison/agreement process has been performed, the data resulting therefrom naturally take priority.

Use

The condition basis can be

  • a value
  • a quantity
  • a weight (gross or net),
  • a physical volume, or
  • a number of points

The system multiplies the condition basis by the amount in order to determine the total amount for the condition.

Example

If we assume that the condition basis is 100 bottles and the amount is $10 dollars per bottle, the total amount for the condition is $1000.
