Definition
The external account number provides a connection to the corresponding account in the operational system.
Use
With internal number assignment, the external account number from the operational system is assigned a unique internal number. For the system to be able to do this, the internal number field must be blank.
With external number assignment, the account number from the operational system is set as an internal account number. The external account number is redundant in this case and the corresponding field can therefore be left blank.
