Definition

The net interest margin (NIM) contribution displayed in the cash flow relates to the interval between the last payment date (i.e. the date of the last cash flow) and the current payment date. The NIM contribution displayed for the first cash flow is therefore always zero.

Use

The individual NIM contributions are calculated as part of the net present value calculation. They are deducted from the respective amount at the payment dates so that the cash flow of the alternative transaction may be determined.
