Spool description text.

As an exception, a limited number of variables are available here for use in shipping documents. The system replaces these with concrete values when the documents are created. The following variables are supported here:

• $VERSANDDAT$ - shipping date
• $VSPAGRP$ - shipping document type group from the relevant spool dataset
• $JOBNAME$ - job name if the shipping documents are being created in background processing
• $JOBNR$ - a unique job number assigned by the system if the shipping documents are being created in background processing
• $JOBSTEP$ - step number of job step if the shipping documents are being created in background processing

Use

The description text for the cover sheet is used as a description in the SAP spool file, which can be of use in finding specific shipping documents.

CAUTION: Since the description text is not a criterion for separating spool datasets, different jobs may write to the same spool dataset. If you use the variables for job information, the description text depends on which job the spool dataset opened LAST for writing.
