This three-digit numeric ISO code of the country is listed, for example, on the internet at http://www.un.org/Depts/unsd/methods/m49alpha.htm for all countries.
You should not confuse this code with the more commonly used two-digit ISO code of the country, the three-digit numeric INTRASTAT code of the country or the three-digit non-numeric ISO code of the country.
In some countries like Romania and Croatia, the use of this three-digit numeric ISO code is mandatory.
