Definition
Use
This field allows that the user does not need to enter an exact entry name for which a mapping rule is defined, but he or she can define several nodes at a time.
You can use the following symbols:
Symbol Meaning
* Any character string
+ Any single character
Note!
Symbol # is not supported.
If the entry mask cannot be defined in a unique way for a specific entry, or the system cannot find it at all, the system displays a warning message in the log of the report.
Dependencies
The following restrictions apply:
- You can use symbol * only at the end of the string
- You cannot use an entry mask that is composed of symbols * and/or + only
Example
If you define the entry mask as P00100+++,
- the mapping rule is valid for:
- P00100001
- P00100102
- the mapping rule is not valid for:
- P00200002
- P001000010
