Definition

Indicates the settlement status of a document or document item for external settlement.

The following values are possible, depending on the fixed values for the domains:

1 = Normal, no settlement takes place
2 = SD partial order created
3 = SD order created
4 = Deleted
5 = Cancelled
7 = Parked
9 = Retirement processed
A = No SD order created, settlement run executed
S = Location setup executed

The external settlement status is independent of the internal document status of the document/document item.

Explanation of the document status

Status/Meaning

1
The document is not yet settled.
The system sets the status on creating a document.
The document can only be changed in this status. Once it has a different status, it cannot be reset to status 1.

2
The shipping document has been settled at least once.
The equipment is still on the location after the settlement period and has to be settled again in the next SD settlement.
This status is only possible for equipment items in documents, because the material sale/repurchase is immediately settled in full (Status = 3).
The system sets the status in the settlement run.
Example:
Receipt on April 10th; in the April settlement an SD order is created for the period April 10th to 30th -> Status = 2.
Retirement on May 20th; in the May settlement an SD order is createdfor the period May 1st to 20th -> Status = 3.

3
The document/item is settled in full.
The document/item is not considered in the next settlement.
The system sets the status in the settlement run.

4
The system sets this status on deleting an item.
The entry is reset in CEM inventory management.
The document item is excluded from settlement.
When copying a shipping document, if you use a document with a deleted item as a reference, the system does not copy that item.

5
The system sets this status on cancelling an item.
The entry is reset in CEM inventory management.
The document item is excluded from settlement.
When copying a shipping document, if you use a document with cancelled items as a reference, the system does not copy those items.

7
The system sets this status on parking an item.
An entry is only made in CEM inventory management after release (Change of document status to 1).
The document item is excluded from settlement.

9
The shipping document represents retirement of the equipment from the system.
In this case an SD order is not created.
The document is not considered in future settlements.
The system sets the status in the settlement run.

A
The document is used in the settlement, however an SD order is not created.
Possible causes:

  • According to the billing indicator only one internal settlement is determined -> the external status is set to A.
  • This is a receipt of material. Both the internal and the external status is set to A.

The system sets the status in the settlement run.

S
This status is only used in chaotic inventory management.
This shipping document is used by the location setup to transfer the temporary stock to the historical (chronological) stock.
The system sets both the internal and the external status to S during location setup.
From a settlement viewpoint status S matches status 1 (no settlement yet), however the document cannot be changed.
Note:
In the SD settlement (TA: J3GZ) the location setup is simulated in the test run, meaning that the normal location setup has to be executed immediately prior to the update run. This means that the shipping documents can still be changed after the test run (Status 1).
