Definition
Challan date is the date of payment of tax withheld to Government. There are two challan dates involved in EWT solution for India.
- The internal challan date is the posting date of challans when open extended withholding tax lines are cleared for payment to Government.
- When Bank challans are received, the date of bank challan is updated.
