Definition
An audit area is a preconfiguration of certain data which are necessary to support a certain audit.
Use
If you create an audit package in the Retention Warehouse to extract certain data to SAP NetWeaver BI, you can choose one or more audit areas. Depending on the preconfiguration of the audit areas the system knows which objects in SAP NetWeaver BI have to be generated and extracted from the archive.
