Definition

Identifies a BOM item within a BOM group.

Procedure

The item ID can be allocated as follows:

• External item ID

  You enter an item ID. Enter at least one character that is not numerical.

• Internal item ID

  The system automatically allocates an item ID if you do not make an entry (only numerical characters).

Dependencies

You can only allocate the ID when you create the item and you cannot change it later.

You can make settings in the modification parameters to determine whether an item ID that has already been allocated externally can be used again (Define modification parameters ).
