Definition
This field contains the IS-H key of a third party data collection point (DCP) that is assigned for Electronic Data Interchange pursuant to §301 (Germany).
A third party DCP is used for the physical exchange of data between an institution and a health insurance fund. The data collection point of a health insurance fund is supplied with data by this third party DCP.
Currently, several health insurance funds use such third party DCPs for data exchange. Consequently, files are not transmitted to the corresponding health insurance fund directly, but are encoded and sent first to the third party DCP first which then forwards the data to the health insurance fund. In the same way, an institution receives data from a health insurance fund via the third party DCP.
If a third party DCP is not specified in this field, the data will be exchanged directly between an institution and the central data collection point of a health insurance company.
Example
- The data collection point (DCP1) of a health insurance fund (HIF1) is supplied by a third party DCP. This third party DCP has been specified in the system as a data collection point of category 03 (DCP not authorized to decode).
The required information will be stored with data collection point 1 (DCP1) if you have entered 'DCP' in the 3rd Party DCP field.
- The data collection point of another health insurance fund is directly supplied with data, without the involvement of a third party data collection point.
In this case, this field has to be empty.
