Definition

In this field, the system proposes the number of days for which the patient has to make a copayment.

The maximum copayment days per annum, the paid copayment days and the the discharge data (date and type) are taken into account here.

Basically, the number of copayment days is calculated from the difference between the maximum copayment to be made per annum and the number of days paid in the current calendar year. If the number of days calculated in this way is greater than the number of billing days, the billing days are proposed as copayment days.

Note

  • If no insurance relationship is characterized as requiring copayment, no paid copayment days are proposed.
  • The special case delivery is taken into account as follows:

6 days after the delivery are valued as not requiring copayment and are subtracted from the billing days.

Other special cases are not currently taken into account.

  • The display is currently not updated if the copayment-related data was changed via the Environment function Maintain insurance relationship, but only when accessing the transaction.
  • The copayment days to be paid are zero, if the paid copayment days exceed the maximum number of copayment days in the year (patient paid too much).
