Documentation
Definition
If this indicator is set, the subscreen contains case-related data.
Use
The case reference has the following effects on the variant in the Clinical Process Builder:
- In change mode, the system locks the case.
- After the initial screen, the system runs the case list. If you wish to access the data screen, you need only choose a case row, provided that the subscreen is not also flagged as movement-related.
Dependencies
Dependencies exist with the indicators Patient-Related and Movement-Related.
Setting different combinations of the indicators has the following effects on the variant in the Clinical Process Builder:
- Following combination is invalid; at least one indicator must be set:
- Patient: -
- Case: -
- Movement: -
- With the following combination, the system locks the patient in change mode; no case list and no case lock:
- Patient: X
- Case: -
- Movement: -
- With the following combination, the system locks the patient and the case in change mode. You can choose a case row in the case list. Choosing a movement row corresponds to choosing the related case row:

- Patient: X
- Case: -
- Movement: X

- Patient: -
- Case: X
- Movement: -
- With the following combination, the system does not lock the patient; it locks the case in change mode. You can choose a case row and a movement row in the case list:
- Patient: -
- Case: X
- Movement: X
- With the following combination, the system does not lock the patient; it locks the case in change mode. You can choose a movement row in the case list. Choosing the case row of an inpatient case corresponds to choosing the admission; choosing the case row of an outpatient case results in an error message:
- Patient: -
- Case: -
- Movement: X
The combination of the indicators in the various subscreens determines the reference of the variant.
Example:
If the variant contains a patient-related subscreen and a case-related subscreen, the variant is patient- and case-related.
Note the following special configuration: If the variant contains a patient-related and a movement-related subscreen, but no case-related subscreen, the system completes the case reference for the variant.
