Documentation
Definition
Using a contract scheme, you can further qualify the insurance status of the patient or case.
It is not always sufficient to know whether a patient has, for example, a specific supplementary medical insurance. You should specify more precisely which personal items or which services are covered.
You can enter the contract scheme on a case basis. It is also managed as a default value in the patient-related insurance relationship.
Example
For example, you could differentiate contract schemes for the
- Outpatient and
- Inpatient area.
In turn, the following contract schemes could be distinguished within the inpatient area:
- Standard insurance
- Supplementary insurance semi-private room
- Supplementary insurance private room
- Supplementary insurance private room including chief physician services.
Note
Contract schemes can also be used for the insurance verification rules (default values, pre-approved insurance), where the management of insurance verification is simplified by maintaining the insurance relationship correspondingly.
