Definition

This field contains the status of the insured:

Note that the following description of status setup applies to Germany only.

  • 1st position
1 = member - general health insurance fund association (AKV)
3 = dependent coverage - general health insurance fund association
5 = member and dependent coverage - health insurance fund association
    for pensioners (KVdR)
  • 2nd - 4th position
The health insurance companies are legally obliged to levy data for the disproportionate share adjustment between the companies. For this, the status specification is extended by 3 digits for approximately 3% of insured persons. The person subgroup for the sample is determined via different criteria (birthday and month of birth, reference of permanent disability pension and disability pension or a pension for miners).

Position 2 can take the following values in this case:
    • 1 = feminine
    • 2 = masculine
    • 3 = feminine, with one of the above-mentioned pension types
    • 4 = masculine, with one of the above-mentioned pension types
    • 5 = feminine, born before 1900
    • 6 = masculine, born before 1900

Positions 3 and 4 contain the birth year.

  • 00 = insured person does not occur within the sample,
    position 2 = 0
  • 00 - 99 = insured person does not occur within the sample
