Definition

For Germany:

This field contains a supplement to the status of the insured person.
The first position of the supplement indicates whether the insured resides in a Western or Eastern federal state, or if the insured belongs to a certain group.

  • 1 -> West
  • 4 -> Social welfare recipient, §264 SBG V
  • 6 -> BVG (Federal Law on Company Pensions) including OEG, BSeuchG, SVG, ZHG, HHG, PrVG and BEG
  • 7 -> Special group (persons residing in Germany who fall under inter-state law and Dutch cross-border commuters who are in possession of a health insurance card; expense dependent)
  • 8 -> Special group (persons residing in Germany who fall under inter-state law and are in possession of a health insurance card; flat-rate)
