DRG Billing Germany: Minimum Length of Stay Main Department/External Physician Department
The minimum length of stay (mLOS) stipulates the minimum number of days that must exist for a treatment episode to be covered by the respective flat rate per case. If the number of days in the hospital stay of non-transferred patients falls short of the minimum length of stay, a discount is made on the flat rate per case for the appropiate day stipulated in the catalog and for each further day not performed.
