Definition
Here, you can specify that service transfer to Controlling is to be carried out automatically in relation to specific "events". Currently, you can start service transfer
- At final billing
- On request.
Use
Automatic service transfer ensures the availability of cost information in the Controlling system without delay. Furthermore, the automatic service transfer considerably reduces the amount of time required for transfer-runs, since a large part of the case-related services relevant for Controlling has already been transferred due to this setting.
Procedure
If you want service transfer to be triggered automatically by final billing, you have to decide if this is to apply both to individual billing and collective billing (via case selection).
Dependencies
Note that the transfer of services at final billing can adversely affect the run time of the billing program.
Furthermore, bear in mind that you have to start the transfer program regularly, even if you have activated automatic transfer at final billing.
One of the reasons for this is that not all the CO-relevant services of a case may exist when final billing is carried out. A further reason is that not all cases with CO-relevant services are billed for.
Finally, OU-related services that are relevant for Controlling are transferred exclusively by the transfer program.
