Definition
If revenue accrual is to be carried out for more than 16 periods per fiscal year (for example, daily or weekly accrual), the 'special purpose ledger' functionality is required.
This corresponds to the component FI-SL in the SAP system.
- A posting to the special purpose ledger is effected either directly by the transaction GB01 or by means of a corresponding Customizing setting which assigns a transaction that triggers ledger update to an entry of data in an SAP System. Thus each posting in FI can result in a posting to the special purpose ledgers if the transaction 'RFBU' is assigned to these ledgers. However, as a consequence, the ledger posting always also gives rise to the other postings.
- If, on the other hand, you require an exclusive posting to a particular special purpose ledger, you must specify this ledger here.
