Definition
Cost weights determine the DRG costs. The cost weight of a DRG service is specified with the value "1" in relation to a reference service. Multiplication by the base rate produces the abolute costs of a DRG.
A separate cost weight that is used to determine the discount is additionally output for each day of the minimum length of stay shortfall.
