Definition
Material consumption is counted individually when generating single-quantity procedure codes. This means the system does not count the material consumption quantity but each material consumption is valuated with a quantity of 1.

Use
If you define summary procedure codes in which the additional charge is defined according to the number of material consumptions or prescriptions as opposed to the consumption or prescription quantity, you must select this indicator. You would define the summary procedure codes in the IMG activity SAP Healthcare - Industry-Specific Components for Hospitals -> Medical/Nursing Documentation -> Maintain Asgmt of Single-Qty Proc.Cd. to Matl and Summary Proc.Cd..
