The surgery type is used to classify a surgery visit.
Country version Switzerland (CH):
Indicates whether the outpatient treatment took place externally.
This field is used for the "PRISMA" statistics (Patient Record in Somatics (Canton Zurich)) and for the medical statistics for hospitals, BFS, which applies from 2009.
Values:
1 = Own hospital site, different company
2 = Outside own hospital site, same company
3 = Outside own hospital site, different company
9 = Unknown
blank = Not applicable
In the above, "same company" means "same company registration number" (BUR).
