Definition
If the Postdischarge indicator is set, the system interprets the movement type as a postdischarge movement type.
You can only create visits for which you specify a movement type for with this indicator is set subsequent to the patient's discharge. There are no restrictions, however, on the use of visits for which you specify a movement type for which neither the Preadmission nor the Postdischarge indicator is set. You can use such visits prior to admission, between admission and discharge, and subsequent to discharge.
Use
Note that the concept of preadmission and postdischarge visits complies with the legal requirements of the country version Germany. (You can also use the concept in a restricted manner in other country versions.)
The system evaluates postdischarge visits in billing and in BPflV statistics. Checks are also performed on the number of postdischarge visits and their proximity to admission.
