Definition
Outpatient cases whose treatment lasted less than 8 hours, did not end in death, and cannot claim for service charges, are excluded from the communication procedure.
This is a further classification of the indicator "Exlude outpatient non-claim cases". If outpatient non-claim cases are already excluded, cases that lasted less than 8 hours are implicitly excluded also. If outpatient non-claim cases are not excluded, you can exclude this subgroup of short-stay patients explicitly.
