Definition
Germany: the average length of stay shorfall (ALOSS) stipulates the number of discount days that are calculated when the patient is transferred into another hospital.
The ALOSS is measured in days. If the average length of stay shortfall is at least one day, the selected icon is output.
For certain flat rates per case, the average length of stay relative to care when provided by external physicians is different to that when care is provided by the main department.
