Documentation

Definition

Description of the units used to measure the different services (for example, individual units - immediate services - or patient days, billing days - extended services).

Supplementary Documentation - ISH_MEFIX 0001

Use

The activity quantity to be allocated in CO is determined by the transfer program during the activity allocation process. The IS-H service quantity is determined first. This is determined for immediate services from the service quantity entered. The quantity is determined for extended services from the service period taking the valuation formula into account.

The IS-H service quantity is then multiplied by a factor and the result is the CO activity quantity.

The factor for quantity conversion can be set as follows:

  • Fixed factor for quantity conversion
  • The factor is specified in a column of the service catalog
  • The factor is determined with a function module.

Procedure

If you want to enter the factor for quantity conversion, enter the value of the factor here.

Examples

You enter nursing hours in IS-H. However, you have entered a corresponding activity type in nursing minutes in CO. The factor is then 60.

If you had also entered nursing hours in CO as the activity type, you would have to use factor 1.

Use

Within internal activity allocation, the transfer program calculates the activity quantity to be allocated in CO. To do this, the program first determines the IS-H service quantity. For immediate services, this quantity results from the service quantity entered. For extended services, this quantity results from the service interval in relation to the valuation formula.

The IS-H service qunatity is then multiplied by a factor to produce the CO activity quantity.

The quantity conversion factor can be set up as follows:

  • Fixed factor for quantity conversion
  • The factor is specified in a column of the service catalog
  • The factor is determined using a function module.

Procedure

If you want to determine the quantity conversion factor using a particular algorithm, specify the corresponding function module here.

Examples

The function module ISH_GET_PPR_QUANTITY calculates the account assignment quantity using the minute values of the classification according to the nursing acuity evaluation (PPR - Germany).

Dependencies

If you create your own function modules for determining the factor, note that these function modules must use the same interface as the SAP function module.

Supplementary Documentation - ISH_MEFUB 0002

Use

The function module entered here is used for transferring OU-specific services.

Procedure

Please note that the function module interface is determined by SAP. Your own function modules must have the same interface. You can use SAP function modules as a reference for creating your own function module.

Dependencies

Please note that the function modules for quantity determination of case-related services have a different interface to the module for quantity determination of OU-specific services.

Supplementary Documentation - ISH_MEINS 0001

Use

Enter the catalog unit of measure for quantity-related procedures (column Single PC) and the corresponding official procedures (column Summary PC). The catalog unit of measure is determined from the name of the official procedures ("summary procedure code") for totaling the single-quantity procedure codes of a material.

This unit of measure must be defined in the material master for consumed materials (column Material Number), otherwise it is not possible to convert the unit of measure used in the material consumption posting to the catalog unit of measure. This conversion is necessary if the base units of measure for the material and catalog unit of measure are different.

Dependencies

Example

Official PC catalog
8-810.K5 Recombinant activated protein C: 60 mg to below 80 mg
Use the unit of measure mg.

Use

The activity quantity to be allocated in CO is determined by the transfer program within the activity allocation process.

  • As a fixed factor for quantity conversion
  • The factor is specified in a column of the service catalog
  • The factor is determined with a function module.

Procedure

If you have entered the factor for quantity conversion in a column of the service catalog, enter the corresponding column of the service catalog here.

Examples

You enter immediate x-ray services in IS-H. You have entered a corresponding activity type x-ray point because individual services are not relevant from a cost accounting point of view. The charge factor from the service catalog should be used to measure the cost origin. This charge factor is saved in a column of the service catalog.

Dependencies

If you want to transfer the factor for quantity conversion from a service catalog column, please enter a valid column of the in-house service catalog here.
